Thanks for taking a look at my site.

My name is Maniraja and I live and work in Manchester. I live in Hulme not far from the city centre and I work for the CIS in town.

I recieved the name Maniraja when I was ordained into the Western Buddhist Order in 2003. I liked the name so much that I chose not to use my old name anymore.

My latest passion is photography. I’m still learning how all the functions work so I’m still a complete novice but it seems like good clean fun so far and I’m quite pleased with some of my snaps!

I have recently returned from supporting a four month ordination retreat for men who wished to commit their lives above all else to the Dharma.

What the Dharma is and how I and others apply it to our lives will be a large part of this site.
